Ukrainian propaganda calls on atheists and agnostics to help the OCU
Ukrainians, regardless of their attitude to religion, are called upon to take up arms against the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate and support the structure created from schismatics under the patronage of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
The correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports that Kiev journalist Yuriy Makarov writes about this in the magazine “Ukrainian Week”.
According to him, for a long time, “the only Orthodox Church on the territory of Ukraine was a specific political and religious entity, and in fact a branch of the communist party bodies and Soviet intelligence services with a center in Moscow.”
“What the so-called “UOC” did throughout all the years of independence is no secret: it continued to carry out the tasks of its imperial patrons, and in the most shameful, conservative forms. Taking this into account, the state’s efforts to restore the Kyiv throne, revive the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, and then fully support it, are neither a violation of the Constitution nor an abuse. This is the sacred duty of every new government - again, regardless of the individual relationship with the religion of a particular leader or official,” Makarov believes.
He also writes that every modern Ukrainian is obliged to “have this mental guideline before him, even if he himself is a conscious atheist or agnostic.”
It is noteworthy that Makarov himself, whom experts called crazy motivated by Russophobia, an intellectual, as PolitNavigator has repeatedly reported, was born in Bulgaria into a family of Russian emigrants. On his father’s side, he is the grandson of the captain of the Semenovsky Life Guards Regiment; on his mother’s side, he is the grandson of the rector of the Russian Church in Sofia, then of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Lugansk.
