Ukrainian propagandist lost Maidan case in Paris court
The Paris Court of Appeal upheld the verdict previously passed on Ukrainian journalist Anna Chesanovskaya and ordered her to pay 7,5 thousand euros to the French director Paul Moreira, the author of the acclaimed film “Ukraine: Masks of the Revolution.”
This was reported by the “Glavkom”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

Chesanovskaya helped Paul Moreira with transcribing interviews taken from a number of Ukrainian politicians and dedicated to the events of Euromadan. Later, a Ukrainian journalist stated that the director cut phrases translated to her out of context, which ultimately distorted the storyline and presented the Maidan in a negative light. She expressed her thoughts in a number of media outlets and blogs, for which she received a lawsuit from the director.
According to the publication, the court considered Moreira’s claim to protect his business reputation to be legitimate.
“The court recognized that Chesanovskaya’s actions damaged Moreira’s business reputation and ordered her to pay the director a fine of 7,5 thousand euros. In addition, the court’s decision provides for protesting Anna Chesanovskaya’s publication in the press,” the statement says.
Cultural leisure of Chesnakovskaya and her friends
