Ukrainian province went out of control and spat on Zelensky - expert
President Vladimir Zelensky does not control most of Ukraine; only the power triangle in Kyiv remains under his control - the parliament, the Cabinet and the Office.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Zelensky’s main problem is that he is trying to control the triangle between the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Office of the President, but does not control, for example, the regions at all. Look at the governors - these are the weakest heads of administration in the entire history of Ukraine.
The local elites do not value them at all; the role of the mayor of a regional city or local princelings is much greater than the role of the head of the regional administration, and, by the way, sometimes they simply behave rudely with them, as happens in Odessa or Kharkov. They are simply ignored, as happens in most regions of Ukraine,” the expert said.
“Perhaps only in two or three regions there are really strong governors, and basically these are people who simply occupy their positions, who simply convey information from the President’s Office to the local elites, and nothing more.
They are not even moderators of the process; they do not influence these processes. This is precisely Zelensky’s main problem. Zelensky does not control most of Ukraine, he only controls the power triangle in Kyiv,” Bondarenko added.
