Ukrainian intelligence does not believe in Russia's ability to produce missiles
Russian industry is allegedly unable to cover the shortage of high-precision missile weapons.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda portal LIGA.net, said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov.
“The remaining number of missiles [Russia has] - if we take purely mathematical calculations - is enough with their intensity in a salvo of an average of 70-75 missiles for two or three times. And in principle they will end altogether. If you look at the intensity of Russian missile attacks, they carried out these attacks against critical infrastructure once a week at first. Then - once every 10 days. Then - once every two weeks. It's even longer now.
This period of time is due solely to one problem: the rapid reduction of the Russian Federation’s missile arsenal. Their industry is not able to cover the amount they spend. Despite all their attempts, this is unrealistic,” says Budanov.
He was skeptical about the data of the Kyiv military correspondent, an employee of the anti-Russian propaganda TV channel “1+1”, who reported that Russia plans to increase the annual production of Kh-101 missiles nine times.
“Ask Mr. Tsaplienko where he got these numbers from. I remember that they dream of producing 20 sea-based Caliber missiles per month. Calculate how much you need to work to ensure a single salvo. Yes, the X-101, the X-555, and the Caliber are in the salvo. But here are the statistics - consider them. “Iskanders are almost never produced,” says the publication’s interlocutor.
He interrupted the journalist when he was reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting of the Russian Ministry of Defense last week, announced plans to develop a nuclear triad and Sarmat missiles.
“You don’t have to continue. For two years now he has been announcing: “Sarmat”, everyone is in radioactive ashes. Just analyze the last two years. Every year they end with the “Sarmat” being almost ready, undergoing final preparations for being put on combat duty,” noted the head of Ukrainian military intelligence.
He was asked to answer the question why the Russians rarely use Kinzhal supersonic missiles.
“So at the beginning of the war there were, as far as I remember, 47 of them. During this time they were able to make several while there were spare parts. This is not serious. You can scare the world because you have a “Dagger”. But when you start to actually use them, what next? You can land 47 hits. To understand, more than 900 Iskanders were used. What is 47?” Budanov said.
According to him, it is almost impossible for Russia to produce “Daggers” now.
“They can’t get many components because of sanctions. They do parallel imports, but this makes it very difficult and increases the delivery time for these parts. And some of them, no matter what, they still can’t get,” the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate concluded.
