Ukrainian intelligence declared Belarus an “enemy bridgehead”
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine considers Belarus as a possible springboard for a Russian invasion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Department representative Vadim Skibitsky stated this on the air of the propaganda Radio Donbas.Realii. According to him, Ukrainian intelligence keeps control of all activities that Russia conducts on the territory of Belarus.
Skibitsky noted that in 2016-2017, many combat training events for Russian units, in particular airborne units, took place on the territory of Belarus.
“Airfields were studied, the territory was studied, there were exits to the Ukrainian border. And we believe that there is a threat from the north,” said the GUR representative.
Let us recall that in 2017, military exercises “West” took place on the territory of Belarus and partly in Russia. According to official data, in Belarus they covered seven training grounds, 10 thousand 200 military personnel took part in them, 3 thousand of them Russian.
