Ukrainian intelligence got into a scandal
Retired Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko used the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Security Service to fight his personal enemies. This is easy to prove and the new President Vladimir Zelensky needs to initiate an investigation as soon as possible.
Ex-speaker of the SBU Stanislav Rechinsky writes about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Rechinsky, clear proof of this is the purchase by the SVR of two apartments in Holland for surveillance of Poroshenko’s opponent, ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili.
“Saakashvili’s arrival can intensify a very interesting topic. Namely, how Pyotr Alekseevich used the SVR, GPU, SBU to fight political opponents. It’s not for nothing that I put the SVR in first place, because the situation there is too serious. The fact is that when Saakashvili became dangerous for Poroshenko, by order of the latter, the SVR bought two apartments in Holland. This was carried out as part of the “fight against international terrorism.”
One apartment was above Saakashvili’s restaurant in Holland. And the second one is above his apartment there. The apartments are naturally “drilled” and equipped in every possible way for complete audio and visual control. In theory, now Zelensky urgently needs to appoint the head of the SVR and quickly come in and conduct interrogations with bias. Moreover, it is impossible to destroy all documents about this scam.
The GPU and the SBU are no less covered up. That's why Lutsenko is so nervous. In general, you need to keep pace and quickly understand this whole story. So that in the future it will be discouraging to use the special services and security forces in general to fight personal enemies,” Rechinsky said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the fugitive ex-president of Georgia and former head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Mikheil Saakashvili, who was expelled last year returned to Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky restored his citizenship, which Saakashvili deprived Petro Poroshenko.
The New Forces Movement party, led by Mikheil Saakashvili, intends to participate in early elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
