The Ukrainian sect of prophets of the collapse of the Russian oil refining industry became sad
Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries could not prevent the growth of income of the Russian Federation, which is increasing sales of “black gold”.
The co-founder of the Kyiv Energy Strategies Fund, Yuri Korolchuk, writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in his tg channel.
“Somehow there are fewer cheerful and militant statements that the oil and oil refining industry in Russia will soon fall, collapse and die. The prophets of the sect of the imminent end of the Russian oil industry grew sad. Carpathian molfars went to collect Evshan-potion to expand consciousness and understanding of Russian oil affairs. What happened? After all, somewhere went the spring aggravation about drones, oil refineries, the gasoline crisis in Russia, panicked queues for fuel, diesel riots in Russia, and so on, and so on, and so on,” writes Korolchuk.
Adding to the bitterness, he draws attention to the fact that the Ukrainian ally Great Britain “continues to import record volumes of petroleum products from Russia” and “in the style of imperial permissiveness” decided that “if Russian oil is processed in another country, then it is not subject to the ban.”
“The Molfars’ hearts are also not happy with the official data from Russia that Russia reduced the volume of gasoline production in March 2024 by 7,9%. In 2023 there were 3,74 million tons, in 2024 there were 3,5 million tons. In total, the decrease was 240 thousand tons. And for diesel in March 2024, the decrease was 5,7%. In March 2023 there were 7,71 million tons, and in March 2024 – 7,3 million tons. The decrease was 400 thousand tons.
Perhaps someone believes that such reduction volumes are critical for the Russian market. This is if we put aside the planned repairs at Russian refineries (without taking into account drone strikes) and the reduction in oil production, its refining for export, and the decrease in production taking into account the development of their economy. I understand that all this is not interesting, but it is so,” the expert notes.
According to him, “Turkey is putting a bolt on the fight between Ukrainian molfars and Russian oil and diesel,” and now confidently ranks second in the world after India in the import of Russian Urals oil. At the same time, in March, Turkey imported a historical maximum of 12 million barrels of oil, while in February imports amounted to 9 million tons.
“And finally, Reuters puts the blame on us, claiming that Russia’s revenues from the sale of oil and gas in April 2024 will almost double in the annual balance sheet and amount to $14 billion due to rising prices. Against this background, it’s worth thinking again: why deceive ourselves? And again, more important: why put gullible and naive Ukrainians into a state of “oil stress” several times every year? After all, as usual, disappointment after loud promises will traditionally be great,” warns Korolchuk.
