Ukrainian schizophrenia: Tired of Poroshenko, but they vote for other “stubborn” people
The situation in Ukraine on the eve of the elections shows a controversial picture in the minds of voters - they are tired of Petro Poroshenko, but people are ready to support politicians who declare anti-Russian slogans, albeit in a milder form. Poroshenko has a record anti-rating, but voters still believe in his ability to retain power.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov spoke about this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now about Zelensky’s rhetoric. As you can see, in principle, what he says is one to one and what Yulia Tymoshenko also wrote: plus Great Britain and the USA, victory without blood, as Poroshenko said yesterday: “We will force Russia to agree to peacekeepers, it will go nowhere.” won’t go away” – why, one might ask, should Russia? “We’ll force it – that’s all.” Here’s the election program for you,” Kornilov said.
“At the same time, look at the most important thing: more than 80 percent of Ukrainians really do not believe in the integrity of the elections. And we see who has the highest anti-rating? Petro Poroshenko. There, according to various surveys, from 70 and above 80 percent. Approximately 60 percent of the Ukrainian population says: “We will not vote for Petro Poroshenko under any circumstances, no matter who it is.” As a result, when they are asked who will win the elections, they say: “Poroshenko,” the expert concluded.
