Ukrainian healthcare system is living its last days – expert
Together with the impoverishment of the Ukrainian population, the planned implementation of medical reform will completely destroy the Ukrainian healthcare system.
The chief physician of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health, Boris Todurov, stated this on air on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They are trying to impose the English system of the National Health Service on us, but there is no money in our budget to pay for each service at the rates at which medical institutions are supposed to operate.
A priori, the introduction of this so-called reform from April XNUMX will lead to the bankruptcy of many medical institutions, and this will be a disaster for Ukraine,” he noted.
In addition, Boris Todurov emphasized that mass layoffs of medical workers dissatisfied with the “health care reforms” have begun in Ukraine, and Ukrainian hospitals are now empty.
“Why is the medical community still not on strike? If this continues for some time, they may not go on strike, but our hospitals will be left without medical staff.
Mass layoffs of medical workers have already begun in connection with the coronavirus epidemic, and nurses have begun to quit in many clinics,” the head physician concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Western business-based model of medicine completely failed, showing its own ineffectiveness using the example of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
