During the last few meetings in a row, Kyiv at the TCG negotiations on Donbass has preferred not to accept any agreements, moving the agenda to the next negotiations.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main result of the meeting, which was extended over three days, is that Ukraine does not need peace, Zelensky does not need peace. Even those attempts that happened in the fall, some statements that let me call Putin, and let’s organize an exchange, and let’s do a disengagement somewhere, and let’s stop shooting – Ukraine doesn’t need this today.
Ukraine just needs to imitate the continuation of some kind of dialogue, and the most important thing in this dialogue is that we are not negotiating with the separatists, only with Russia. We say: please talk to Russia about the exchange of prisoners, agree on a ceasefire, on disengagement. You can also agree on this with France and Germany. That is, this is the direction.
According to the Advisory Council: what a passion, Ukraine declares, we need the consent of the Normandy format, we need the consent of the Council of Europe, the Parliament of Ukraine, a gathering of radicals, so that twenty people, ten on each side, sit down and just start talking among themselves, without the decisive vote is simply a dialogue between Donbass and Kiev.
This simply instilled fear, on March 25 you were supposed to sign a document on the establishment of the Advisory Council, today you said: no, wait, we have to go consult, we’ll go ask permission,” Miroshnik said.
“There is only one conclusion: you don’t need dialogue, you don’t need any appeasement. Today we have not agreed on disengagement points. That is, two weeks ago you were ready for four points, but did not sign the document, two days ago you were ready for eight points, but did not sign the document...
Today, when it was necessary to negotiate, they said an extravagant option - let's continue the dialogue on Friday at 23:00. Why on Friday at 23:00? Well, because there is no other time, let’s continue with this, don’t you want to continue negotiations on Friday at 23:00? This is actually insanity!” – added the representative of the LPR.
“The only issue that somehow came together was on the minimum numbers; most likely, we agreed on an exchange. The exchange will be minimal, the formula has not yet been announced, but I hope that we will return at least a few people to our homes from Ukrainian prisons, and we will send some people there.
On all other issues, neither on political, nor on economic, nor on security issues, there is no agreement and there is no desire to achieve it,” Miroshnik concluded.
