The Ukrainian side refuses the “all for all” prisoner exchange formula
Ukraine is blackmailing the Russian Federation in the negotiation process on the exchange of prisoners.
A corresponding message appeared on the Facebook page of the Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Irina Gerashchenko, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“Citizen of the Russian Federation Sedikov is regularly included in their lists by representatives of ORDLO, repeating the nonsense that he has “dual citizenship of the Russian Federation and the republics,” but I responsibly declare that I have never spoken about the fate of Sedikov, Ageev, Kimakovsky, Daronin, or Vyshinsky, Representatives of the Russian Federation neither in the humanitarian group nor in the TCG raised the issue with any others from the list of 36. I’m not sure that they even identify them by their last names and are at least somehow interested in their fates. Moreover, representatives of the Russian Federation are blocking even putting on the agenda the issue of transferring 36 in exchange for Ukrainian political prisoners, saying, “we are not in Donbass, and this is not a Minsk issue,” Gerashchenko wrote.
She added that the Ukrainian position is not shared in the OSCE. In particular, OSCE Coordinator Tony Frisch does not understand why Ukraine refuses to exchange prisoners according to the “all for all” formula.
“The issue is complicated by the fact that OSCE Coordinator T. Frisch also does not put this issue on the agenda as a separate problem, and pretends that he does not understand why the Ukrainian side categorically does not agree to the statements of ORDLO about the “exchange of all established for all established” , after all, they demand from us almost 300 people, among whom are Russians, Berkut members involved in terrorist attacks in Odessa and Kharkov, etc., and they themselves are ready to give less than 25. Without confirming and hiding from us dozens of detainees, including military and civilian , held not only in prisons, but also in secret camps,” the deputy added.
The vice speaker once again insists on the release of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who planned terrorist attacks in Crimea.
“But if it’s all for all, then we demand that all the Kremlin prisoners in Russian prisons be included in this list: Sentsov, Kolchenko, Sushchenko, Balukh, Grib, Karpyuk, all the others,” Gerashchenko blackmails.
