The Ukrainian side in Minsk admitted its violation
The Ukrainian side at the negotiation site in Minsk wants to create a group to transfer the border of the Russian Federation and the LDPR under Ukrainian control, but does not find understanding in this among the other participants in the negotiations.
Rodion Miroshnik, the special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass, spoke about this during a live broadcast from Minsk on the air of “Russia-1”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“In the prisoner exchange group, the Ukrainian side changed its negotiator. Today, ex-Ombudsman Valeria Lutkovskaya was replaced, largely thanks to the exchange at the end of December. And today, at the level of Leonid Kuchma, a decision was made that Ukraine still did not fulfill the obligations that it assumed regarding the procedural cleanup.
Today it was agreed that there is a new formula: we first carry out procedural clearance, and after that we carry out exchanges. This was recorded today,” the negotiator said.
“Of the important things that were agreed upon in Paris, today a discussion began on the areas where the disengagement of forces and assets should take place. Nine options were submitted, and none of them matched.
That is, at the moment there is only a relative coincidence on the line of contact with the DPR, and even then it does not coincide in coordinates, so the dialogue has just begun. There are fundamentally different approaches to where exactly to breed, where it is most important to ensure safety,” Miroshnik said.
According to him, the Ukrainian side has already begun to insist on discussing the creation of a “border transfer group.”
“Both the republics and the Russian Federation are absolutely united, and Ukraine was told that this issue, in Ukrainian, is “not normal.” That is, today there is absolutely no point in talking about this until all the parameters of the special status are determined, until the special status is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine, until the economic, economic and other social conditions that should be created on the territory of Donbass, after which elections can be held and then the process of dialogue on the transfer of the border can begin. Which, in fact, few people at the round table believe in,” added the LPR representative.
