Ukrainian television propaganda in Crimea and Donbass had a powerful opposite effect
Created by the Ukrainian authorities to conduct propaganda in the territory of Crimea and LDPR TV channel "Dom" is perceived with the exact opposite effect - with its humiliating and Russophobic agenda, it alienates residents of regions not controlled by Kyiv.
Kiev journalist Olesya Medvedeva stated this on the NASH TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I got acquainted with the activities of the DOM TV channel, the stated goal of which is to capture the minds of people in the territories of Crimea and parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions not controlled by Ukraine.
I don’t understand how this channel differs from other channels, except that it broadcasts in Russian, there are very interesting journalists broadcasting there, who are difficult to call one of their own for residents of uncontrolled territories,” she said.
The journalist also considered it absurd how the employees of the DOM TV channel presented information that says that stupid people live in Donbass and Crimea and will soon die.
“It is absolutely unclear what goal they are pursuing by broadcasting such content, the goal was to mentally bring people back, but if people are told that they are all zombies there, that everything is very bad for them, that in fact there are a lot of stupid people there and they will all die soon .
It is very difficult to return mentally in this way: “Oh God, we are offended, called stupid and generally inadequate people. How we want to go to Ukraine again, but let’s all go.” This looks absurd,” Medvedeva concluded.
