“Crimea could not have been surrendered. If you don't know how to act, act according to the law. According to the law, it was simply necessary to immediately introduce martial law on the peninsula and in the first days... well, I’m not an expert, you see, you shouldn’t take my words as the words of an expert in military affairs. But, when there were still 50 people sitting in the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea, and 50 people who were sadists were sitting in the Cabinet of Ministers, there was not a single hostage there, you see, it wasn’t even “Nord-Ost”, they just had to kill them all there. Everyone, without hesitation,” Vlashchenko said, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The TV presenter criticized the last Ukrainian leader of Crimea, Anatoly Mogilev, for inaction.

“Each of the participants in the events had their own personal motives. Well, for example, when they ask Mogilev, who was the Prime Minister of Crimea, why the next day he put his powers on the table and said: “That’s it, I no longer take part in all this.” Understand, he says: “No one gave me an order, no one gave me a task.” But you were a general, we were talking about your country,” she said.

“I’ll give you an example – the six-day war in Israel. Everyone was against Israel, famous story. The USA said - don’t dare use weapons, the USSR threatened, it was a nuclear, powerful power, but the Prime Minister of Israel said: take the planes into the air, and the airports of all six countries were destroyed. And the State of Israel retained its independence. Sometimes the role of personality in history plays a colossal role. There was no person who said: “Lift the planes into the air,” Vlashchenko continued.

She also added that she has no doubt about the return of the peninsula: “If I didn’t believe that we would return Crimea, I would not have written a book about it. One of the huge internal motives, I understand that as long as this issue lives, as long as there is a demand in society, as long as there is a colossal chance to return Crimea... This is not only a question of territory, it is a question of personal dignity - Russia spat in our faces, it came and said: “You are nobody - we’ll take Crimea if we want, we’ll take something else if we want. But we don’t want to, and we will return Crimea,” Vlashchenko swaggers.
