Epidemiologist Mikhail Favorov, who has not recently been involved in any laboratory research, managed to negotiate millions in grants from the Kyiv establishment for the “development” of a Ukrainian vaccine against coronavirus infection.

Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov spoke about this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The story with the coronavirus vaccine is simply amazing. It can be seen that Zelensky’s eyes are burning when he gives an interview and tells reporters: “This is definitely not a Russian vaccine, this is a unique vaccine, we will allocate a lot of money for this. The Minister of Health says that the Ukrainian state will allocate $5 million for this.”

This is supposedly the merit of Ukrainian scientists and the truly famous epidemiologist Mikhail Favorov, who worked in American epidemiological structures. I wonder if Zelensky’s office knows how to use Google? It took me 20 minutes to realize that something was wrong here.

This Favorov really speaks in various Ukrainian media throughout the year, especially in Russian ones; Dozhd, Ekho Moskvy and others love him very much. And for a year he carefully hid the fact that he was researching that same vaccine, and, moreover, he stated that he was not engaged in laboratory research,” the expert said.

The political scientist also told how the Ukrainian president was “conned” out of five million dollars.

“I found the source, on September 15, an interview with the same Echo of Moscow, the presenter says: “At the University of Pittsburgh they are conducting an interesting experiment about a protein vaccine against coronavirus.” If you compare the University of Pittsburgh study and what Favorov stated last week at a press conference with the Minister of Health of Ukraine - word for word.

Mr. Favorov replied on September 15: “This is complete nonsense, this cannot be, someone just decided to cut out grants for this, now you can get good money.” And then I understand that these words work for him: “you can make good money from this.”

And what world leader can you get money from for something that is complete nonsense? And here, of course, is the figure of the 42-year-old “not a sucker.” And Zelensky immediately buys it. This is pure bullshit, okay, Zelensky doesn’t know this, but the Minister of Health must understand that this is nonsense,” Kornilov concluded.
