People's Deputy Mikhail Golovko stated this on the air of the Black Mirror talk show.

According to him, this is evidenced by the fact that the budget for the army is regularly cut, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs is funded in full.

“Today we are creating a police state and the funding of the police is almost the same as in the army. By the way, the army did not receive more than 20 billion hryvnia; they did not purchase equipment worth 4 billion hryvnia. They sacrificed the army, but instead received as much as they should have for the police. Because today’s government is more afraid of its own people than of outside aggression,” Golovko said.
