Ukrainian authorities tacitly support Nazism locally
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, should have reacted to the compilation of lists of Jews in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, but the central Ukrainian government is silent.
Former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We remember well, and witnesses are still alive, of what happened to the Jews. Moreover, according to a number of authors, the first computers were used to register them - it was so important to cleanse the Aryan race, get rid of any manifestation of Jewish blood and monitor these citizens with a view to their actual destruction.
Now the police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region are calmly asking us to hand over lists based on nationality. I believe that this is truly a manifestation of Nazism, and I believe that it is not isolated. I have not heard a single reaction from Avakov, the highest official of Ukraine, who would condemn such actions and fire the signatory who is trying to catch a person based on his nationality. I haven’t heard, but silence is a sign of consent, our government agrees with the ugly manifestations of Nazism and is often part of such manifestations,” Lukash said.
Let us recall that in February 2020, the Department of Strategic Investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region sent a letter to the head of the Jewish community of the city of Kolomyia, in which it demanded to provide a list (list) of members of the Jewish religious community of the Jewish Orthodox faith, indicating personal data, mobile phones and their places residence and a list of Jewish students who study at higher educational institutions in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
This became known after the head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee Eduard Dolinsky published a photo of the letter on his Facebook.
