Ukrainian authorities are covering Sternenko in all his criminal cases – lawyer
They are trying to slow down Sternenko’s case, his suspicion has been reclassified as less serious, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine is sabotaging the consideration of two criminal cases in which he is already an accused.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Sternenko received his suspicion, Sternenko is being considered as a preventive measure for premeditated murder. The SBU is asking for house arrest, but will receive, as I assume, a possible night arrest, if not a guarantee or personal obligation. This case is a conspiracy between the “patriots” and Zelensky’s team, this case is a bone to the voters, as if spring has come.
Andrey Portnov will appeal against this suspicion and a large team. Sternenko is charged with Part 1 of Art. 115, usually murder. According to Portnov, this cannot happen. Firstly, there were serious injuries to the second victim. Somehow the SBU forgot about this a little. Moreover, we believe that the murder was committed with extreme cruelty, and this is already a life sentence. That is, the qualifications of the article are softened for Sternenko, and the legal expert sees this. And the lawyer who knows the material from the examination of the case, and we know, since Portnov’s team represents the widow of the murdered man, we are outraged and will appeal all this.
Portnov’s team will also appeal the closure of the criminal case against the murdered man. Let me remind our viewers that the murdered Kuznetsov was made dead by prosecutor Venediktova and his comrades from the SBU. They made the dead man a suspect. This is their biggest reputational… I won’t even say “miss”. If you make a suspect a person who is not liable, he died - the case must be closed.
Can you all imagine the degree of cynicism of these people? This will also be appealed. And in this case, for some reason, I hope for a sane perspective, because there are great legal grounds.
Next, what is Sternenko? We're all talking about murder now. Indeed, premeditated murder. At the same time, I would like to emphasize that the Primorsky District Court of Odessa is hearing two cases of Sternenko’s complicity in the sale of narcotic drugs. In the sale of narcotic drugs. Recently, the prosecutor's office has failed to appear in court five times, which is the basis for long, long postponements.
Sternenko, accused by the state of Ukraine of involvement in the sale of narcotic drugs, due to the failure of the prosecutor's office, which covers (in my opinion) the criminal, is at large. And the second case is about the kidnapping of a citizen, torture and robbery. The prosecutor's office did not appear there fifteen times in a row, and they are already covering for him in this case.
