The Ukrainian authorities were horrified by the capabilities of the militants who joined Saakashvili
The Ukrainian authorities will continue to try to detain ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, who became the instigator of anti-Poroshenko protests, but these attempts will not last long.

This opinion was expressed in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik.
“The authorities are insanely afraid of ATO participants and right-wing radicals in general. By accusing Saakashvili of working for Moscow, they hope to turn this part of the electorate away from him. At the same time, the authorities will continue to try to detain Saakashvili, but this will not last long, since each failure will symbolize their weakness,” the political scientist said.
At the same time, the expert recalled that the anti-rating of the Ukrainian authorities today is at the level of 80 percent, and therefore even the most insignificant protest can easily transform into a new Maidan.
“It’s good that no one has died so far, otherwise the confrontation would have taken on a completely different character. Saakashvili understands all this and therefore goes on the offensive,” Bortnik noted.
