Ukrainian military intelligence has intensified its activities in the Crimean direction
At the moment, Russia has not prepared a strike force for an attack on Ukraine.
The commander of the punitive group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass, Sergei Naev, stated this on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The state of affairs in the Tauride direction is such that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have strengthened all types of reconnaissance. Also, reconnaissance is being carried out in an intensified mode by all authorized bodies of Ukraine. Every day, reports are received about the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the peninsula, in the temporarily occupied territory and provided to the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are analyzed, clearly monitored down to the details - the condition, position of those units that are located in the temporarily occupied territory, actions in relation to the North Crimean Canal.
The situation is being fully monitored regarding the possibility of transferring additional forces and assets to the peninsula from the territorial part of the Russian Federation. The indicated state of the enemy’s position is such that at the moment the enemy has not prepared an offensive strike group; its units are in permanent deployment points.
Along the administrative border between the Kherson region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea there is a small number of units of the Russian Federation that carry out tasks to monitor our group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is also located at an appropriate distance from the administrative border.
At the moment, no immediate threats regarding an offensive from the temporarily occupied territory from the armed forces of the Russian Federation to the Kherson region in the designated direction have been identified or established,” Naev said.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Naval Forces Commander Alexei Neizhpapa announced preparations for a war with Russia fraught with heavy losses and threatened a missile strike on Sevastopol.
