The Ukrainian railway is falling into disrepair
The Ukrainian railway fell into such a bad state that it had never been in it even during the war.
Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert noted that on his father’s side there are three generations of railway workers.
“The railway has never been in the state it has been in recently. Even in times of war. Technically it is in a catastrophic state. I haven't been traveling by train lately. I sometimes travel by the Kyiv-Baryshevka train, which people are simply afraid to ride because hooligans stop it and paint it. Security - zero. For an hour, the police do not arrive in such situations. These trains have returned to their mid-nineties state. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, this happened there. “They are now in the same condition,” Bortnik said.
