This statement was made at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, by the speaker of the Ukrainian volunteer community “InformNapalm” Mikhail Makaruk, answering a question from a Channel 24 journalist who asked whether there were statistics on Russian citizens fighting for Donbass based on nationality.
“Is it the Caucasian population of Russia fighting or some nationalities, well, there’s like... What I mean is that the Russian World is the Russian World, and we saw a lot of Buryats,” the journalist asked.
“After we published Russian Buryats... I really love Buryats. I will tell you that there is no such data, because, understand, we can see this from those who fight in the Donbass militia. There he looks like a Caucasian, but turns out to be a Dagestani or Tatar. That is, there is a hodgepodge of people there, but it should be noted that many people come from the occupied territories - Abkhazia, Ossetia. After the Georgian events, they lost touch with reality and are also trying to commit atrocities. If we take the national minorities of the Russian Federation, it is no secret that soon the main national minority in Russia will be the Russians, then Tuvinians, Chechens, and those who are usually called Dagestanis are fighting there, although there are four nationalities there, if I am not mistaken, a number of Tatars, Bashkirs a lot comes. That is, from all over the Russian Federation,” said the volunteer.
According to him, the geography of professional military units “from the Kuril Islands to the outskirts of Murmansk, from the North Sea in the Yakutia region to Crimea.”
“Moscow is not Russia. The further into the outback, the poorer the people, the sooner they want to go to war,” added Makaruk.
