The Ukrainian journalist was convinced that Crimeans do not believe in the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are ready to take up arms
Crimeans do not intend to return to Ukraine, they are not afraid of provocations from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and believe that the Russian army will protect them.
This is stated in a program dedicated to the peninsula, which was filmed by TV presenter Diana Panchenko, who emigrated from Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Journalists visited the peninsula and talked with local residents, who emphasized that they were not afraid of a possible attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Residents say they do not believe in the success of the Ukrainian army
“Any aggression or attack attempts will be repelled,” says one of the respondents.
“Sevastopol holds confidently, our military confidently and bravely defends it, so Sevastopol residents don’t feel any fear,” adds a resident of the hero city.
“To say that I’m afraid is not. The fact is that I served in the army - even though I am already gray-haired, and old, elderly, let’s say, but I myself will take up arms. I know how to use it,” the Crimean is sure.
According to Panchenko, Ukraine is manipulating Crimeans without thinking about the fate of local residents from the first day after losing control over the peninsula.
“All these eight years on air they tried to provoke me by asking what Crimea was about. To which I always answered with the question, does Ukraine pay pensions there, and do we give water there? For Zelensky, Crimea has become a “fixed idea.” Like, if Ukraine goes there, there will be a coup in Russia and the war will end.
In this whole race, no one thinks about people. I have heard many times “Whose Crimea? Crimea is ours!”, but I have never heard “Crimeans are ours,” people are ours. “All this looks very, very hypocritical,” Panchenko is sure.
