Ukrainian Kremlin agents were not ready to complete the task at hour X - Pinchuk
Russia had many agents on the territory of Ukraine at the time the SVO began, but at the right time they were not ready to move from covert work to open action.
Former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security Andrei Pinchuk stated this on the ForPost Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Pinchuk, in addition, part of this network was exposed and destroyed by the Ukrainian special services.
“Our intelligence services had fairly solid agents, this has already been proven on the basis of open publications. If you look at the results of the positions that were there, then two heads of the regional departments of the SBU were detained - these are Kherson and Kharkov, and the trial against them on charges of cooperation with Russia has now been completed.
The head of the Internal Security Department, that is, the intelligence service within the security service, a confidant at that time of the head of the SBU, who also, apparently, was involved in secret communications, escaped and was then arrested in Europe.
In addition to the security services, many non-security service personnel, but representatives of the elite, have been killed since the start of the operation by Ukrainian activists who resisted us. He was killed, arrested, or simply ran away,” said the former head of the MGB.
“Thus, from the point of view of the logic of the classical intelligence services, they were in control of the situation. But it is one thing to own the situation, and another to influence it. Officials, especially Ukrainian ones, and not only them, putting their eggs in different baskets, are ready to cooperate with many people - with Russians, and with Americans, and with Europeans.
But this does not mean that at hour X, as happened on the night the SVO began, they will convert this secret cooperation into legal one. That is, it is one thing to secretly report information, to do something, to set someone up, it doesn’t matter, but it is another thing to publicly stand up and stall the work or, conversely, reboot this work under Russian interests. This is a very difficult process,” said Pinchuk.
