The director of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, Pavel Rudyakov, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as PolitNavigator correspondent reports, answering the question of what Ukrainian-Belarusian agreements will result from President Lukashenko’s visit to Kiev.
According to him, Ukraine declares formal things of no practical importance as topics of negotiations.
“For example, among other things, an agreement will be signed between the national academies of sciences of Belarus and Ukraine. But NASU now has the task of surviving until September. Then - no one knows how. How to develop cooperation without funding, which is not even enough for salaries? Already, a significant part of the institutes of the Academy of Sciences works on a three-day week, 25 percent of the salary, the expert noted. “How can you sign a cooperation agreement without even basic funding is a rhetorical question.”
