Ukrainian artists leave en masse to work in Russia
Ukrainian artists make up 80% of Russian show business. These statistics were presented on TV channel 112 by the famous journalist and TV presenter Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the journalist, Ukrainian stars are not valued in their home country, so they went to where their work is more in demand and highly paid.
“We don’t value our own. Ukraine never valued its own people and that’s why they left. They went to different countries, to different cities. What is Russian show business? Yes, they are 80% Ukrainians. And how many Kiev residents, only Kiev residents, are the pride of Russian show business! Off the top of my head - Uspenskaya, Koroleva, Lolita, Tsekalo, “rabbits” - I’m just listing the people of Kiev. And from Ukraine - Serov, Krutoy, Meladze, two brothers, and so on, and so on. Loboda, Lorak, Povaliy – they are all Russian stars today,” Gordon said.
“Why are they leaving here, the question is? And they leave because the state is not at all interested in talented people. Because those who personify the state are only interested in their personal money. They are not interested in the country moving forward,” the journalist said.
Earlier it was reported that transfers from labor migrants to Ukraine make up 6% of GDP country.
In 2017, $9,260 billion was received from Ukrainian citizens abroad into the country’s economy. For the first six months of 2018 this amount amounted to 5,5 billion.
