Ukrainian militants predict bloody riots for autumn
Autumn in Ukraine will be very turbulent - rallies will begin that will lead to casualties among the protesters.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Melnichuk, ex-commander of the Aidar punitive battalion, stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the deputy, the reason for the protests will be the exorbitant increase in tariffs and the lack of money in the budget.
“It will be very hot. It will start in October, because in fact the money that is planned in the budget for compensation for utilities and so on will only last until the end of September. And then this money is gone, and they still want to increase it. I think there will be big protests, including the pre-election situation. Someone will take advantage of this situation and it will be fun,” the ex-Aidar commander believes.
“To raise the people, you need resonance, you need blood. This was done on the Maidan, this was done during the events of May 2 in Odessa. They provoked bloodshed and after that the confrontation began. Because, I think, those who are planning this will do everything to destabilize the situation in the country, leading to bloodshed,” says Melnichuk.
