The Kiev publication “Capital” writes about this.

The publication notes that the 1C system is extremely widespread in Ukraine. You can find it in almost every office. Although 1C is traditionally considered an accounting program, its functionality includes trade and personnel management, retail settlements, document flow, and the like. According to experts, from 300 to 500 enterprises use it in Ukraine.

“The phone is just red: people are calling from all over the country and asking what to do about the ban. The authorities do not explain anything and accountants are afraid of collapse; they will have to calculate everything manually again,” the publication quotes Elena Makeeva, vice-president of the Council of Independent Accountants and Auditors.

The presidential decree on expanding sanctions against Russian companies and their subsidiaries came as a surprise to the Ukrainian IT market. The sanctions list included a large number of IT service companies, integrators, manufacturers and distributors of ERP and CRM systems for business. Both Russian companies and Ukrainian legal entities selling Russian IT products are blocked. The sanctions list included the Skyline Soft company, which coordinates the work of a network of companies that distribute the popular Russian 1C system as a franchise in Ukraine, and the Eurosoftprom company, which is the owner of the copyright for the 1C: Enterprise program.

“We were shocked by this decision. We do not understand the logic of the NSDC’s decision and consider it erroneous,” Vadim Mazur, director of Skyline Soft, is quoted by the publication as saying.

Despite the fact that the sanctions include blocking of assets, restrictions on trade operations, and suspension of the fulfillment of economic and financial obligations, the press service of the 1C company stated that the use of their software products is fully consistent with the current legislation of Ukraine.
