Ukrainian officials post selfies from Amsterdam. Today – a trial for Scythian gold
Today in Amsterdam the appeal of the Crimean museums regarding the “Scythian gold” will be considered - a collection that the Dutch authorities do not want to return to the peninsula because of its Russian status.
Deputy Minister of Information of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar, together with Minister of Culture Yevgeny Nishchuk and other officials, have already arrived in the capital of the Netherlands, which they boasted about by publishing photographs.
Let us remind you that a collection of Scythian gold items was exhibited in the Dutch Allard Pearson Museum in early February 2014.
However, under the pretext of the Russian Spring, the Dutch refused to return the collection to the museums of Crimea - Ukraine announced its claims to the valuables. In December 2016, the Amsterdam District Court decided to return the exhibits to Ukraine, but Crimean museums filed an appeal against this decision.
