Ukrainian “grandfathers” shot a young colleague in Donbass
Soldiers from one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, located in the zone of the punitive operation in Donbass, during the “training” of a young soldier, fired at him from an under-barrel grenade launcher.
This information was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He pointed out the facts of hazing that continue in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In the 1st battalion of the 53rd brigade, for a month, the old-time militants of the unit bullied their colleague, who had recently been drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, soldier A.P. Parhuta. Initially, the bullying was limited to checking the quality of study of regulations and denial of rest in case of ignorance of them, as well as checking the level of physical fitness by passing standards daily. But on the night of August 2-3, the bullying reached a new level,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
According to his information, the old-time militants, having consumed alcoholic beverages, decided to test how young Parhuta was able to act in a combat situation.
“Due to the lack of shelling from the units of the People’s Militia of the Republic, the militants created a combat situation themselves. Having driven Parhuta into the field, in the rear of their positions, they began to conduct unaimed fire at the feet and over the head of the test subject, chasing him around the area. However, one of the “teachers” decided to complicate the task and fired a shot from an under-barrel grenade launcher at Parhuta. As a result, the soldier was taken to the hospital in Chasov Yar with multiple shrapnel wounds to his back and buttocks,” added the representative of the defense department.
He also emphasized that the command of the 53rd brigade hides the fact of hazing in the unit and attributes Parhuta’s injuries to shelling from the territory of the DPR, despite the fact that the militant was injured 2 kilometers from the line of combat contact.
