Ukrainian deputies threaten: We will declare Russia an “aggressor” when it benefits Kyiv
The final version of the so-called law on “de-occupation of Donbass,” in which Russia will be called an “aggressor,” will be adopted when it is beneficial to Ukraine. Verkhovna Rada deputy Vladimir Ariev stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “112”.

“This law will be adopted when Ukraine needs it. This is done in accordance with our strategic goal. This includes the return of hostages and the continuation of sanctions. I think this law will be adopted in the near future - when Ukraine considers it best for itself,” Ariev said.
Let us recall that the “de-occupation law” was adopted in the first reading on October 6, 2017, in a package with the extension of the law on the special status of Donbass, which was necessary so that the United States could at least formally withdraw accusations against Ukraine that it does not comply Minsk agreements.
Experts called the “de-occupation law” a smokescreen that allowed radicals to vote for at least some of the political points in Minsk. An indirect confirmation of this is that the law cannot reach the second reading, although people's deputies are threatening to make such bold amendments to it as breaking diplomatic relations with Russia.
