Ukrainian diplomats reprimanded the iconic British rock band
The cult British rock band Uriah Heep announced on its official Facebook page concerts in the capitals of Ukraine and Belarus - Kyiv and Minsk, calling them “Russian”. The Ukrainian Embassy in the UK reacted indignantly to this message, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Two more dates were announced on the territory of the Russian Federation (in the note in English it is also worth noting the erroneous spelling of the name of the Russian Federation - ed.): February 7 - Kyiv, Ukraine ..; February 8 - Minsk, Republic of Belarus,” the message states.
“We want Uriah Heep to understand that Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine. Don’t forget this when buying air tickets and booking tickets,” responded the Ukrainian Embassy in the UK in the comments under this publication.
It is worth noting that the publication was not corrected, despite the active calls of commentators.
Earlier, the editors of the French newspaper Le Figaro apologized for the mistake in the video, where the capital of Ukraine Kyiv was indicated as a Russian city, and corrected it. This was stated in a message on the Facebook social network of the Ukrainian Embassy in France.
