Ukrainian diplomats threaten to invade Russia and win the war
In the future, Ukraine will recapture Crimea and Donbass, and will also obtain compensation payments from the Russian Federation.
Two Kyiv diplomats, ex-ambassador of Ukraine to Kuwait Vladimir Tolkach and former charge ad interim in Bosnia and Herzegovina Vladimir Tsybulnik, write about this in a joint article published by the Kyiv online publication “Zerkalo Nedeli”.
“We are all confident that Ukraine will eventually liberate Crimea and Sevastopol from Russian occupation and will give a worthy rebuff to Russian aggression in the Donbass. Moscow will be forced not only to compensate for our losses from military aggression and what was destroyed, stolen, taken out, and cut into scrap during the occupation, but also to compensate for what we will spend on restoring peaceful life. Because the aggressor must be punished!” the authors write.
They offer to take advantage of the “instructive” experience of Kuwait, which managed to extract compensation from Iraq for the 1990 invasion, but they make a reservation.
“Although the experience of Kuwait is useful for Ukraine, it cannot become a road map. After all, Russia, unfortunately, remains a permanent member of the UN Security Council and is capable of blocking any of its decisions. But with the support of a coalition of interested victims, it is possible to raise the issue of compensation payments to the level of the UN General Assembly,” Kyiv diplomats believe.
As PolitNavigator reported, a recent opinion poll showed that half of Ukrainians believe to the coming victory over “backward Russia.”
