Kyiv, February 21 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – US Ambassador to Ukraine Alexander Motsik, together with all employees of the embassy, ​​as well as the consulate general in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, in full force, publicly challenged Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara, expressing solidarity with the rioters in Ukraine.

The diplomats' statement was posted on the embassy's Facebook page.

“It is impossible to remain silent when your Motherland is on fire, people are dying en masse from bullets, shock, pain and suffering reign, there is a real threat to the statehood and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and share their grief.

Ukrainians have been fighting for centuries for their right to live in a free, democratic, independent country, which our generation is obliged to build.

We are with our people, we are for their worthy European future.
In this tragic time, wisdom and an immediate end to bloodshed and fratricide must prevail,” the statement reads.
