Ukrainian diplomats in the United States live in a building where the FSB checks their documents
Employees of the Ukrainian embassy and mission to the UN in New York live in a building that belongs to the Russian Federation.
Former employee of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States Andrey Telizhenko said this on the air of the “Territory of Freedom” program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Regarding the lack of reforms in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, I want to tell you that employees of the Ukrainian Embassy in New York live together with Russians and Belarusians in a building controlled by the Russian FSB. In general, everyone is silent about this,” Telizhenko said.
According to him, this building remains from the times of the USSR.
“Employees of the embassy, consulate and representative office of Ukraine to the UN in New York live either on the fifth, if I’m not mistaken, or on the eighth floor of the building that remains from the USSR, which is controlled by the FSB, they pass through with a pass and give it to FSB representatives. They give data, they live there, they are wiretapped there, they travel with Russian and Belarusian diplomats,” the speaker noted.
Telizhenko added that Ukraine owns a floor in the building. “Neither Kuleba talks about this (Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba - ed.) - a great reformer, nor Klimkin (former Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin – ed.) is a great nationalist, they didn’t say. Prystaiko (ex-head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister Vadim Prystaiko - ed.) was silent. This building is located on 136th Street East New York. Is this beneficial to someone? Profitable,” said an indignant Telizhenko.
