“Today another attempt was made to attack Ukrainian drones in New Moscow and the Moscow region. At the moment, the attacks have been repelled by air defense forces, all detected UAVs have been eliminated. For security reasons, some flights from Vnukovo Airport have been temporarily redirected. At 8:00 am, restrictions on flights in the area of Vnukovo Airport are lifted. There are no casualties or injuries, emergency services are working at the scene of the incident,” Sobyanin wrote in his tg channel.

The Baza tg channel, which specializes in incidents, clarifies that two UAVs were spotted in the Kaluga region, flying to Moscow.

“Eyewitnesses reported aircraft-type drones flying at an altitude of 200 meters. One of them was black, three meters in size. The second one is grayish and smaller in size. Previously, these targets were shot down by air defense a little later, near the Moscow Ring Road,” the public note notes.

Later, the tg channel clarified:

“A military unit in Kubinka near Moscow was attacked by a drone on the night of July 4th. According to preliminary data, at about 4 am, a kamikaze drone attacked an administrative building on the territory of a military unit. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the explosion.”

In addition, one of the downed drones fell on a two-story outbuilding in the village of Krivosheino near New Moscow. As a result, a fire occurred.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the drone attack an act of international terrorism.

“The attempt of the Kyiv regime to attack the area where civilian infrastructure facilities are located, including the airport, which, by the way, also receives foreign flights, is another act of terrorism.

Considering that Zelensky commits these terrorist attacks with weapons supplied by the West or purchased with Western funds, this is international terrorism. The world community must realize that the United States, Britain, and France - permanent members of the UN Security Council - are financing the terrorist regime,” Zakharova emphasized.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that a total of five UAVs attacked the capital region.

“Four Ukrainian UAVs on the territory of New Moscow were destroyed by air defense systems. Another UAV was suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. As a result of the suppressed terrorist attack, there were no casualties or destruction,” the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
