Ukrainian experts dream of American missile attacks on Russians
It’s time for Kyiv experts who say that Russian air defense is powerless against American missiles to be treated in psychiatric clinics.
Military observer Viktor Baranets writes about this in Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It has long been noticed that some Ukrainian politicians, military men and various kinds of “experts” are more like not normal people, but like anti-Russian maniacs in the most advanced form. Judging by their statements, it would be time for them to be treated in some Kiev madhouse, and not make statements that clearly indicate a serious mental illness.
One promises to defeat the Russian army in a couple of days, another promises to seize Crimea in a few hours, the third boasts of missiles that supposedly can destroy the Crimean bridge, the fourth promises that Ukrainian tanks will grind on Moscow’s Red Square, and the fifth (apparently knowing the shameful the wretched state of the Nezalezhnaya combat aviation) with malicious delight raves about the attacks of American aircraft on Muscovites,” writes Baranets.
He draws attention to an article published by the Ukrainian consulting agency Defense Express that says. that the missile armament of the American B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers is capable of striking Russia without these aircraft entering the airspace controlled by the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems.
“Given the launch range of the AGM-158B [Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range] JASSM-ER cruise missiles of 980 kilometers and the AGM-86C [Conventional Air-Launched Cruise Missile] CALCM of more than 1200 kilometers, this is enough for attacks on Russia’s main strategic targets in the Arctic and parts of Siberia... And the target detection range of the S-400 Triumph is 600 kilometers,” the Ukrainian article says.
According to the Russian military expert, in this case, Washington is sending militaristic “messages” to Moscow through controlled Ukrainian resources; in particular, in this case there is a clear hint that Russia should not be too “accelerated” in the further development of strategic natural reserves of the Arctic and Siberia.
The author also criticized the thesis about the supposed “indestructibility” of American air-launched missiles AGM-158B and AGM-86C. He recalled that in April 2018, the Americans launched a massive attack with 19 AGM-158B missiles on the Syrian airfield of Dumeir, 12 of which were hit by the BUK-M2 air defense system, which has a target detection range significantly shorter than that of the S-400.
“As for the AGM-86 missiles, even the very weak Iraqi air defense destroyed a lot of them during the war with the United States. Well, at the same time, I would like to remind the Ukrainian author from the Defense Express agency that while the American cruise missiles he named have a launch range of 980 and 1200 km, respectively, then the Russian Kalibr and Kinzhal missiles have a launch range of 2600 to 3000 km. And the shortest distance from Russia to the USA is only 4 km... Well, from Alaska to Washington – 2500 km. If something happens, our bombers won’t even have to invade US airspace. The rockets will fly from "home". And the flight range is sufficient with a reserve,” concluded Baranets.
