The largest Jewish organizations in Ukraine, such as the All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress, the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, the Congress of Jewish Religious Communities, the Jewish Fund of Ukraine, Hillel, the Association of Ghetto and Concentration Camp Prisoners, and most of the regional Jewish communities of Ukraine issued a joint statement condemning the increase anti-Semitism and xenophobia in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky, announced this on his social network page.

The statement, in particular, says that the Jews of Ukraine “express deep concern about the increase in anti-Semitic incidents, manifestations of xenophobia and intolerance, in particular, attacks on Roma. We call on law enforcement agencies, including the police, the SBU, and the prosecutor’s office to take the most serious approach to identifying and bringing to justice those responsible for anti-Semitic crimes, vandalism at Holocaust sites, and hate crimes.”

Also, Jewish organizations dissociated themselves from the position of the odious pro-regime activist Joseph Zisels and the Vaad-Ukraine organization headed by him, which act as accomplices of Ukrainian nationalists and misinform world Jewry about the events taking place in Ukraine.

“We strongly declare that Mr. Joseph Zissels and the Vaad organization do not represent the Jews of Ukraine. The statements of Joseph Zissels and his organization do not express the position of the Jewish community of Ukraine,” the document says.

Also, representatives of Jewish organizations in Ukraine thanked American politicians and representatives of the Jewish lobby for their position regarding the problem of anti-Semitism in Ukraine.

“We express our gratitude for the support in the fight against anti-Semitism to US Congressmen Ro Khanna and David Sissilin, the US Congress, the World Jewish Congress, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Anti-Defamation League, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, the American Jewish Committee, the National Coalition for Eurasian Jews, the Embassy USA in Ukraine, German Embassy in Ukraine, Israeli Embassy in Ukraine, Security and

cooperation in Europe (OSCE),” summarize the authors of the document.
