Ukrainian Jews are shocked by Zelensky's Israeli stunt
The Jewish community is shocked by the behavior of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who refused to participate in commemorative events in honor of the victims of the Holocaust, which took place the day before in Jerusalem.
Former Minister of Transport, Vice-President of the European Jewish Congress Yevgeny Chervonenko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chervonenko recalled that Ukraine is one of the countries most affected by the Holocaust and the president of this country, who is Jewish, has no right to ignore such events.
“There is no future for those who do not remember their past. No Vyatrovich, who was nobody - I didn’t see him point-blank, and they drove him beyond Valdai under Yushchenko. An empty, worthless creature, spending public money and inciting hostility. I can no longer stand the fact that everyone in this country says “evil”, we need to sew Ukraine together, but we have no other choice, we are a multinational country.
In a country where before the war, before the Great Patriotic War, up to 40 - 44 percent of Jews lived, Ukrainian Jews, in which out of the six million victims of the Holocaust in the world, one and a half million died directly in Ukraine, often with the help of the Ukrainian auxiliary police of the OUN and other policemen. And in this country they tell the Jewish president not to go there. The world is in shock, I won’t even tell you what they are calling from Israel.
I don't understand what kind of pests surrounded the president. Doesn’t he understand his responsibility not only to Ukraine, but also to the Jews?” Chervonenko said.
