You are not our brothers, Ukrainian fascists! - father of the first head of the DPR
Residents of Donbass no longer want to have anything to do with people in Ukraine who allowed the revival of fascism.
Vladimir Zakharchenko, the father of the deceased first head of the DPR, said this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"For eight years they (Ukrainian neo-Nazis – ed.) could not intimidate us and in the future they will not be able to intimidate us. The fact is that half of Donbass worked in the mine. I myself worked for 25 years in a mine, I know what it’s like to walk under death. So we saw death with our own eyes, we saw it in person, and the fact that we are threatened with some kind of death, we will stand until the last,” Zakharchenko said.
Military correspondent Semyon Pegov, who was next to him, asked the question of whether Donbass feels like one with Ukraine?
“Those people who are on the other side, those military men, to what extent can they consider themselves one people with those who live in Donetsk?” - asked the military correspondent.
“No, we are not one people. How can we be compared with those people who are on the other side, in Ukraine? We have the DPR, and there is Ukraine.
The thing is that you had to watch the 14th, 15th, 16th years. The torchlight procession in '14 was, say, 5 thousand people in Kyiv, then 16, 17, 20, 30 and 40. Every year more and more. It is this indicator that suggests that we are completely different people. And we even have different thoughts.
When they compare us that we are almost twin brothers, we feel uneasy and offended. If they were able to raise fascism in their country, then they are completely different from the people who live in Donbass,” answered Vladimir Zakharchenko.
