Ukrainian citizens line up for DPR passports
The population of Ukrainian-controlled regions of the Donetsk region is already filling out DPR documents in order to receive a republican pension.
Pavel Zhebrivsky, the former head of the Donetsk Military Administration, stated this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Zhebrivsky, until recently everything was the other way around - people traveled from Donetsk to the territory of Ukraine to apply for a pension from Kyiv.
“Recently, one senior man, already of retirement age, came to me from Kramatorsk and said - if earlier they came from Donetsk and applied for a Ukrainian pension, today, cunning residents of the Ukrainian territory already controlled by the authorities of the Ukrainian region go to Donetsk, apply for a DPR passport in order to receive second pension.
Unfortunately, today, in principle, there is no serious work on people’s feeling of belonging to Ukraine and pride in Ukraine, even in Ukrainian-controlled territory,” Zhebrivsky said.
