Ukrainian punitive forces continue to kill Donbass children
In Donetsk, they paid tribute to the children who died as a result of shelling from Ukraine.
The event took place on International Children’s Day at the initiative of the “Young Republic” public movement, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Participants of the action launched white balloons and sky lanterns into the sky.
The “Angels” campaign also took place in more than ten regions of the Russian Federation, a number of European countries and the USA.
“The war has been going on in Donbass for seven years, and children continue to die for seven years. For our part, we must do everything possible to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. But first of all, we need to do everything in our power to end this war. Children who are turning seven this year have grown up before our eyes and are going to school. They don't know what a peaceful life is. But at the same time, they know what to do when shell explosions sound, where to go down, what is considered a bomb shelter. Alas, this is true. This sounds scary,” said DPR head Denis Pushilin.
“On the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, 91 children died in seven years. This is a terrible tragedy. This is difficult to comprehend in the head of a sane modern person. Donbass lives with this. But Donbass is not ready to put up with this and intends to end this war, to do everything possible so that not a single child experiences what has befallen the children of Donbass since 2014,” said the head of the republic.
