“Ukrainian boats should be handed over to the DPR. Rename – “Motorola”, “Givi”, “Novorossiya”
Ukrainian armored boats and a tugboat, detained yesterday by Russian border guards while attempting to break through the Kerch Strait, should be transferred to the DPR fleet. The boats should be renamed in honor of the heroes of the Russian Spring - Arsen Pavlov “Motorola” and Mikhail Tolstoy “Givi”, the tug should be called “Novorossiya”.
This proposal was made by Russian TV presenter Andrei Medvedev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think that the detained boats and tug should be transferred to the future Navy of the DPR, as combat training vessels. Name the boats “Motorola” and “Givi”, and name the tugboat “Novorossiya”. It would be nice to name another ship “Alexander Zakharchenko”. But that will come later, when, for example, “Hetman Sahaidachny” tries to pass through the strait,” he suggested in his blog.
Kerch media reports that the military units of the Ukrainian Ukrainian Armed Forces detained yesterday were towed and moored in the city port. Under the supervision of the FSB, small armored artillery boats “Berdyansk” and “Nikopol”, as well as the rammed tugboat “Yany Kapu” stand at the quay wall. Of these, only the Nikopol small tanker reached the port of Kerch under its own power; the rest had to be towed due to damage.
