Ukrainian “princes” are running for a label to the Washington Khan. And the result is zilch
Participation in a prayer breakfast with the US President (which costs 10 thousand dollars) will not bring anything to Ukrainian politicians. Political analyst Valentin Gladkikh, an expert at the public organization “Word and Deed,” stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is reminiscent of the story of the ancient Russian princes, who raced to be the first to climb into the yurt of Khan Batu and receive the label to rule. But the funny thing is that back then the Golden Horde actually handed out labels for the government, and could support it with a limited military contingent in exchange for loyalty and collecting yasir and taxes. And today you want to donate 10 thousand bucks (for a prayer breakfast) - well, please, set up another “clearing”, set up another table, order some more sushi at the restaurant...
The situation with the yurt and the label was more rational - the future depended on the one who ran into the yurt first with a yoke around his neck, and he received the label. And today I ran into the “yurt”, took a photo and ran out.
The Mongol khans, to whom the princes ran into the yurt, at least knew about the existence of those who ran in. And I think that the organizers and main characters at the prayer breakfast have no idea who will come to them.
The behavior of the princes is more understandable to me. And today, well, yes, there are people who can afford to spend several tens of thousands of dollars to post a selfie.
The situation with labels is changing - today they do not distribute labels and do not support them with limited contingents. At best, they can pat you on the shoulder and say: gud, gud, come on, go ahead!” the expert said.
