Ukrainian commanders are ready to go on TV to shut up Arestovich
The Ukrainian military, to put it mildly, is outraged by what Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, is doing on television.
Ukrainian political expert Konstantin Matvienko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Attempts to promote individual representatives of the government and its party, this acts more to their detriment than to their benefit. The possibility was mentioned that - will front-line soldiers, mid-level commanders or higher commanders go into politics? That is, not remaining an institutional military industry elite, but trying to become a national elite.
Maybe they wouldn't go. But the more Arestovich is on the screens, the more he angers the military, and the more incentive they have to do as much as possible. We need to take on this matter ourselves, because what is happening on TV, to put it mildly, outrages them. Therefore, he also acts as such an incentive,” said Matvienko.
