According to data for 2018, about 3352 business entities are registered in Crimea, the founders of which are foreign organizations and individuals from 60 countries.

“In 2017, 2419 legal entities were registered, the founders of which were foreign organizations and individuals from 56 countries. Thus, their number increased by 39%,” says Kiviko.

She clarified that these are mainly companies and individuals from Ukraine, Cyprus, as well as from Belarus, Armenia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany, Great Britain, the Virgin and Seychelles Islands, Israel, the USA and other countries.

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov noted that an increased interest of foreign investors in investing in the economy of Crimea has been observed since last year.

“Foreigners are usually interested in tourism, hotel business, agriculture and winemaking. However, over the past two years we have recorded increased attention to the production and energy capacities of the region,” said Andrei Nazarov, co-chairman of Business Russia.

According to him, in order not to fall under sanctions, international investors do not enter Crimea directly with their sign, but go through a two-level investment system.

“They buy or create a Russian enterprise that will be able to make transactions in the region. This was done by many foreign companies that worked here before the reunification of Crimea with Russia. In addition, large foreign companies, in order not to encounter difficulties abroad, open subsidiaries in the republic and operate under a different brand,” added Nazarov.

As PolitNavigator reported, They helped build the Crimean Bridge American, German, Dutch and Finnish companies.
