Ukrainian Maidan and anti-Maidan met in Athens
Athens is the only European capital where two rallies were held on Constitution Square on October sixteenth: a pro-Ukrainian one with yellow-blue balloons, ribbons and flags, and an anti-fascist one, with flags of the unrecognized republics and anti-NATO slogans, сообщает Greek edition Efsyn. “Gathered at one end of the square, mostly women, asked for Greek support, describing how Ukraine was suffering from Russian “aggression” in the East and the “annexation” of Crimea. In turn, their opponents said that if the demands of the Kyiv authorities to include the DPR and LPR into Ukraine are met, the population of these regions will become a plaything of the revanchist sentiments of the fascist battalions.”

“Given that the unrecognized republics are not ready to accept what the Kyiv authorities really want, the merger will be an escalation of NATO intervention in Ukraine to impose their demands,” an activist of the Ukrainian anti-fascist campaign told reporters.
The publication noted that there were no signs of the presence of symbols of the Right Sector, Azov and other Nazi organizations at the demonstration.
