Ukrainian mortars fired at a children's playground in the DPR
The Ukrainian military deliberately fired mortars at a number of civilian objects in the DPR-controlled village of Golmovsky, including a children's playground.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov announced this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Taking into account the fact that yesterday all the attention of the Ukrainian public and the world community, including the OSCE, was focused on the results of the first round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, Ukrainian commanders, taking advantage of this circumstance, intensified shelling of residential infrastructure,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He noted that the strikes were targeted, with the aim of causing maximum damage.
“The commander of the 30th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, war criminal Garaz, gave the order for targeted shelling, which could have injured or killed children and civilians. Thus, a children’s playground in the village of Golmovsky on the street came under mortar fire. Zagorodnaya, 8. By luck, casualties among the population were avoided,” added the representative of the DPR defense department.
In addition, in connection with the massive shelling of populated areas, Bezsonov called on international organizations to record another fact of a crime committed by the Ukrainian military.
