Ukrainian mines in the Black Sea will be caught for another 10 years, - military expert
The stories of the Ukrainian military about a free fairway for transporting grain raise doubts at the very least, since most of the mines installed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces have long been floating freely in the Black Sea.
Retired Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the Russian Ministry of Defense Vladimir Trukhan said this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They (Ukrainian military – ed.) stated that they have safe fairway“, Trukhan recalled.
“Allegedly. Nobody knows about this. At the same time, they have mines exploding on the beach in Odessa,” noted the channel moderator.
“So I'm starting to doubt that they have a safe fairway without trawling, because what they put there is what blew them away. This is what they are doing all over the Black Sea to threaten shipping. Naturally, they expected that this would almost never [happen],” the colonel suggested.
“Previously they said that they don’t have minesweepers, and the special operation itself to unblock mines, to clear mines, it is long, it cannot take 2-3-10 days, they said,” the presenter recalled.
“It can take 10 years,” Trukhan predicted.
