The scandal began when model Snezhana Onopko, in the comments under the cover photo of the March issue, was indignant that the magazine was decorated by a Brazilian woman and not a Ukrainian woman.
“This is how we support Ukraine! No matter how the Brazilian is on the cover, so is the Italian... Apparently we don’t have any worthy Ukrainian women who could be on the cover. Therefore, it is obvious to everyone why what is happening in the country is happening!” - said Onopka, emphasizing that the chief editor of the gloss, Masha Tsukanova, should return to the Kommersant newspaper, from which she came to Vogue.
After this, a call “Ukrainian models deserve Vogue” appeared on Instagram of model Alla Kostromichova.
